ID scanners are not only used to verify the validity and age of alcohol purchasers by bars and nightclubs. In Iowa ID scanners are showing up at polling sites to allow voters to quickly check in. About half of Iowa’s 99 counties are using the drivers license scanners on a voluntary basis for the election next week. An interesting and efficient way to check IDs.
